ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved file folder having a preselected colour band applied along a straight edge of the folder is taught. The colour band includes a plastic film applied over and secured either side of the file folder to provide a wear resistant edge and protect the colour band. Preferrably the film is secured to the folder with a coloured adhesive visible through the film to provide the colour band or an ink is used visible through the film when adhered to the file folder edge.
