-26- Abstract of the Disclosure A reinforced tubular structure comprising a metal tube and a cured composite tubular liner which increases the longitudinal stiffness of the tubular structure, the liner being adhesively bonded to the inner peripheral surface of the metal tube. The reinforced tubular structure is fabricated by forming a laminate of the composite material, wrapping it around a flexible man- drel, inserting the mandrel and wrapped laminate into the metal tube, and co-curing the laminate to the inner peripheral surface of the tube.
