A package (10) providing reinforcing fibers (20, 25) for a concrete mixture. The package comprises a first plurality of reinforcing fibers (20) and a non-paper container (12) therefor manufactured from a fabric formed from a second plurality of fibers (25), the fabric having the ability to disintegrate during agitation within apparatus in which the cementitious material is mixed, releasing the first plurality of reinforcing fibers and providing the second plurality of reinforcing fibers to the cementitious materials. Fiber-reinforced concrete mixtures comprise a preselected amount of cementitious material and at least one package of reinforcing fibers mixed therewith comprising a first plurality of reinforcing fibers and a non-paper container therefor manufactured from a fabric formed from a second plurality of reinforcing fibers, the fabric having the ability to disintegrate during agitation within apparatus in which the cementitious material is mixed, releasing the first plurality of discrete reinforcing fibers and providing the second plurality of reinforcing fibers to the cementitious materials. The present invention also pertains to a package for admixtures added to cementitious materials and methods for adding admixtures or a plurality of reinforcing fibers to cementitious materials.

L'invention concerne un paquet (10) apportant des fibres d'armature (20, 25) pour un mélange de béton. Le paquet, qui contient une première quantité de fibres d'armature (20), est fait d'un sac non-papier (12) réalisé à dessein dans un tissu constituant une seconde quantité de fibres (25). Pendant l'agitation dans la machine utilisée pour malaxer la substance cimentaire, ce tissu est capable de se désintégrer, libérant ainsi la première quantité de fibres d'armature et apportant à la substance cimentaire la seconde quantité de fibres d'armature. Les mélanges de béton à armature fibreuse se composent d'une quantité prédéterminée de substance cimentaire et d'au moins un paquet de fibres d'armature avec lequel ils sont malaxés. Les mélanges réalisés de cette façon comportent donc une première quantité de fibres d'armature et un sac non-papier réalisé à dessein dans un tissu apportant une seconde quantité de fibres, ce tissu ayant la possibilité de se désintégrer pendant l'agitation de la machine utilisée pour malaxer la substance cimentaire, ce qui libère la première quantité de fibres d'armature et apporte la seconde quantité de fibres d'armature aux substances cimentaires. La présente invention qui s'applique également à un paquet pour additifs à ajouter aux substances cimentaires, s'applique aussi aux procédés d'adjonction d'additifs ou d'une quantité de fibres d'armature dans les substances cimentaires.
