Abstract of the Disclosure An article of resilient material reinforced by having imbedded therein a number of elongate, parallel, spaced reinforcing members, each member being a group of unstrained wires laid next to each other. At least some of the wires have undulations along their length. This results in improved adhesion between the wires and resilient material and reduces chafing and fretting.
