Abstract of the Disclosure A reinforcing insert for an ice-hockey boot of synthetic material is provided. The insert has sole and upper parts made in one piece of a material stuffer than that of the boot. The parts have spaced openings therethrough and the upper part has a series of spaced projections on its outer surface. A boot including the insert is made of a foamed synthetic material that passes through the openings in the insert. The projections act as spacers spacing the insert from the mould during the moulding process.
