ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A releasable rod lock has a support member with a slot and a pivoting locking arm with a first finger which is cammed out of blocking relation with the opening of the slot when a rod is inserted into the slot. Continued insertion of the rod results in the rod contacting and bending a resilient second finger on the locking arm which causes the locking arm to rotate so that the first finger returns to a blocking relation with the opening of the slot thereby locking the rod in the slot.
