There is disclosed a trailer for attachment to a wheelchair, in which the wheelchair has a back portion. The trailer includes a trailer frame having wheels for rolling the trailer on a surface, a trailer basket supported by the frame, and a trailer hitch for mounting the frame to the wheelchair. The hitch includes a belt for slipping over and encircling the wheelchair back portion and a mount bracket for fastening the belt to the hitch for pivotal engagement between the belt and hitch.
