Case7547/7601(2) ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE RELEASABLY BOUND ACTIVE MATERIALS This invention relates to a process for binding water-sensitive active materials by forming a dough from a formulation which has the active material and an organophilic clay binder in particulate form using a non-aqueous liquid medium, shaping the dough and drying the shapes so formed. The granules so formed are releasably bound in the clay and the active species is released when the granules come into contact with water. The process of this invention is particularly suited to granulation of water-sensitive bleaches and bleach activators used in powder detergent formulations.
