The invention relates to a separating agent application device (1) for the pressing belt (3) of a continuously working press, comprising an application roller (4) and dosing roller (6). Said application roller (4) can be placed against the pressing belt (3) with pressure forces defined by the amount of separating agent to be applied to the pressing belt (3). A controlling device is provided for controlling the pressure forces according to the amount of applied separating agent required each time.
