ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An injection mould, for an injection moulding machine, having at least one pair of first and second mould portions which together define at least one mould cavity, said first and second mould portions being relatively displaceable between an open-mould position and a closed-mould position, a stripper plate sandwiched between said first and second mould portions in the closed-mould position, and a mechanism for detaching said stripper plate from the first mould portions upon opening of said mould portions to the open-mould position, in order to disengage a moulded article from said mould portions, said mechanism comprising: i) at least one pair of L-shaped latches, each L-shaped latch having two arms, attached to and pivoted on the first mould portion, each of said arms having a cam contour, ii) a first cam follower associated with one arm of each L-shaped latch and attached to the stripper plate, iii) a second cam follower associated with the other arm of each L-shaped latch and attached to the second mould portion or extension thereof, wherein the contoured portions of the L-shaped latches are adapted to cause the first and second cam followers to travel parallel to the direction of parting of the first and second mould portions from the closed-mould to the open-mould positions.
