A release strip (13) for tubular containers (10) is provided and includes a tab portion (16). An elongate portion (15) of the release strip is releasably adhered to an outer surface of the tubular body of the container with a first adhesive application (20). The tab portion extends laterally from the elongate portion and is separately releasably adhered to the tubular body with a second adhesive application (21) to prevent the tab portion from being inadvertently snagged. In one preferred embodiment, the tab portion includes an opening (17) therein having an advantageous shape including an arcuate section (24) having at least a predetermined minimum radius of curvature and a substantially straight section (25) opposite the arcuate section, thus allowing sufficient room for accommodating a consumer's finger while maintaining requisite ring strength. An apparatus (30) for manufacturing and applying the release strips also forms a part of the invention and includes first and second adhesive applicators (40, 41) which are offset to apply the first adhesive application to the elongate portion of the release strip and the second adhesive application to the tab portion.
La présente invention a pour objet un une bande de libération (13) pour récipients tubulaires (10) comportant une tirette (16). Une partie allongée (15) de la bande de libération adhère à une surface extérieure du corps tubulaire du récipient par une première application d'adhésif (20). La tirette se prolonge latéralement à partir de la partie allongée et adhère séparément au corps tubulaire par l'intermédiaire d'une deuxième application d'adhésif (21) pour prévenir l'arrachement accidentel de la tirette. Dans une version préférée de l'invention, la tirette comprend une ouverture (17) dont la forme comporte une section courbée (24) dont le rayon de courbure minimum est prédéterminé, ainsi qu'une section essentiellement droite (25), opposée à la section courbée, cette configuration laissant suffisamment d'espace pour le doigt du consommateur sans priver la bague de la résistance suffisante. Une installation (30) pour la fabrication et la mise en place des bandes de libération est également visée par les présentes et inclut les premier et deuxième applicateurs (40 et 41) d'adhésif, ceux-ci étant décalés pour la première application d'adhésif à la partie allongée de la bande de libération et pour la deuxième application d'adhésif à la tirette.
