Managing reliance in an electronic transaction system includes a certification authority issuing to a subscriber an attestation of a binding of at least one public key of the subscriber to at least one attribute, and forwarding to a reliance server, information about the issued attestation. The reliance server maintains the forwarded information about issued attestation. The subscriber forms a transaction and then provides the transaction to a relying party. The transaction includes the attestation or a reference thereto. The relying party sends to the reliance server a request for assurance based on the transaction received from the subscriber. The reliance server determines whether to provide the requested assurance based on the information about the issued attestation and on the requested assurance. Based on the determining, the reliance server issues to the relying party an authorization message providing the assurance to the relying party.
La gestion de la garantie de fiabilité dans un système de transaction électronique consiste pour un organisme de certification à délivrer à un abonné une attestation de lien d'au moins une clé publique de l'abonné avec au moins un attribut, et à envoyer à un serveur de garantie de fiabilité, des informations sur l'attestation délivrée. Ledit serveur conserve les informations reçues sur l'attestation délivrée. L'abonné forme une transaction et l'envoie à la partie demanderesse. La transaction comprend l'attestation ou une référence à celle-ci. La partie demanderesse envoie au serveur de garantie de fiabilité une demande d'assurance basée sur la transaction reçue de l'abonné. Le serveur de garantie de fiabilité détermine s'il produit ou non l'assurance demandée en fonction des informations relatives à l'attestation délivrée et sur l'assurance demandée. Il délivre en conséquence à la partie demanderesse un message d'autorisation produisant l'assurance à celle-ci.
