It is intended to provide a preventive/remedy for Alzheimer~s disease which contains, as the active ingredient(s), a substance inhibiting the suppressive effect of .beta.-amyloid 1-40 on the differentiation of vascular endothelial cell precursors and/or the suppressive effect of thereof on the differentiation of stem cells into endothelium precursor and/or a substance promoting angiogenesis. It is also intended to provide a method of screening a substance inhibiting the suppressive effect of .beta.-amyloid 1-40 on the differentiation of vascular endothelial cell precursors and/or the suppressive effect of thereof on the differentiation of stem cells into endothelium precursor and/or a substance promoting angiogenesis.
La présente invention a pour objet un médicament prophylactique/thérapeutique contre la maladie d'Alzheimer qui contient, au titre de principe(s) actif(s), une substance inhibant l'effet suppresseur du .beta.-amyloïde 1-40 sur la différentiation des cellules précurseurs vasculaires endothéliales et/ou l~effet suppresseur dudit amyloïde sur la différentiation des cellules souches dans un précurseur de l~endothélium et/ou une substance favorisant l~angiogenèse. La présente invention a également pour objet une méthode de criblage d~une substance inhibant l'effet suppresseur du .beta.-amyloïde 1-40 sur la différentiation des cellules précurseurs vasculaires endothéliales et/ou l~effet suppresseur dudit amyloïde sur la différentiation des cellules souches dans un précurseur de l~endothélium et/ou une substance favorisant l~angiogenèse.
