ABSTRACT Estrogen is known as a drug capable of promoting bone formation. However it exerts some side effects on the uterus and shows carcinogenesis, which makes the prolonged administration of this compound undesirable. The present invention provides a remedy for osteoporosis containing a monocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor as an active ingredient which is to be used in order to promote normal bone formation while showing relieved side effects, thus radically treating osteoporosis. - 8 -
