ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A remotely controlled alarm device is disclosed, comprising a box-shaped casing. The two side walls of the casing are each provided with visual alerting components, and the front wall is provided with an auditory alerting component. The casing contains a power source and a control box electrically connected to the power source and to the alerting components. The casing further contains a radio receiver adapted to switch on the alerting components from a considerable distance away from the device. The receiver is activated by a pocket-sized radio emitter.
