A protector for use with a remote control is described. The protector prevents accidental or inadvertent actuation of control buttons on a remote control. The protector consists of resilient bands and a protective membrane. The resilient bands wrap around the device building depth around the control buttons effectively recessing them, while the protective membrane serves to absorb inadvertent light impacts.
