REMOTE LOAD MANAGEMENT AND FAULT ISOLATION SYSTEM ABSTRACT A remote load management and fault isolation system is provided for use with an electrical distribution network in which a computer communicates with the system for remotely controlling the flow of multi-phase electrical power through separate utility pole-mounted conductors. A terminal unit is mounted in a cabinet near the base of the utility pole and receives electrical signals representative of the current and line voltage associated with each of the conductors from a plurality of sensors mounted near the top of the pole. A two-way communication device relays the network information to a remote master computer, and the master computer generates a control signal which is relayed back to the terminal unit. An automatic control in the cabinet operates a motorized disconnect switch for selectively interrupting the flow of power in the conductors in accordance with the control signal generated by the remote computer.
