There is disclosed a method of manufacturing a cover for air article, said method comprising the steps of: ascertaining dimensional data of said article (1), and relating said data to individual portions of said article, determining a group of physically inter-related templates associated with said portions (3) each said template being definable on a plane of co-ordinates and being derived from a series of mathematical functions evaluated using said data, and using each said template to form a corresponding cover piece (4) and joining the cover pieces to form said cover.
