ABSTRACT The invention enables damaged joints where secondary sewer pipes join main sewers to be rapidly, inexpensively and reliably repaired without the need to expose the damaged part by excavation. An applicator (1), connected up to a pipe-repairing machine, enables an expendable lining (4) to be introduced into a secondary sewer pipe (8). The space (12) thus created between the the lining (4) and the damagedzone is then filled by injecting a suitable sealing composition into it from a high- pressure injection nozzle (13).
