A remotely operated bull rope release comprises a support, a releasable member having a spherical head and a remotely controlled release mechanism for releasing the end of said releasable member for separation from the support. The release mechanism includes a pair of gripping members pivotally mounted on said support on laterally opposite sides of the spherical head for displacement toward and away from the head and having spherical surfaces for capturing the head therebetween to hold the releasable member on the support. A latched, spring biased drive shaft is actuated to displace the gripping members in response to a control signal to release the head and to propel the releasable member away from the support.
La présente concerne un mécanisme télécommandé de libération de câble de sondage comprenant un support, un élément libérable ayant une tête sphérique et un mécanisme télécommandé de libération pour libérer l'extrémité dudit élément libérable afin de le séparer du support. Le mécanisme de libération comporte une paire d'éléments de préhension montés en pivotement sur ledit support sur les côtés latéralement opposés de la tête sphérique en vue de la libération vers et loin de la tête et ayant des surfaces sphériques pour la saisie de la tête afin d'y maintenir l'élément libérable sur le support. Un arbre d'entraînement verrouillé et forcé par ressort est actionné pour déplacer les éléments de préhension en réponse à un signal de commande pour libérer la tête et propulser l'élément libérable loin du support.
