The removable burner assembly (30) has a burner frame (32) having an open bottom (32) and an open top (35), a burner (34) connected to the burner frame (32), and a manifold (36) in fluid communication with the burner (34). The burner frame (32), with the connected burner (34), is adapted to be removably mounted as a self-contained subassembly in the housing of the grill.
