- 7 - TITLE REMOVABLE TIPPED DRILL AND BALL CUTTER APPLICANT RAMSTAR CARBIDE TOOL INC. INVENTOR Vince BAVETTA ABSTRACT A tool carrying a small flat sided carbide cutting tip consists of a cylindrical portion that is adapted to be engaged by a drill chuck, an intermediate, and a milled cutting tip accomodating pocket formed between two opposite symmetrical fingers. Each finger has a threaded aperture therein and the cutting tip has a bevelled aperture so that when the tip is in registry in the pocket with the respective apertures, a threaded flat head screw can be inserted through the tip into the underlying finger and held there. As such, the tip itself can be made of high quality carbon steel while the tool itself with lower quality steel thereby substantially reducing the cost of a "drill" ball cutter or the like.
