Abstract Anti-theft device called a removable door lock which will be from now on refer to by the letters RVDL, which keeps the vehicle door lock in a closed position and preventing unwanted tampering with latch and striker portion of the vehicle door lockmechinism. The RVDL includes aflat rectangular plate witha hole at either end one of the holes excepts the striker while the middle portion of the plate conforms to the contours of the space between the door and the door post. A rectangular metel plate called a retaining plate is placed flat against the vehicle door so that the middle of the vertical axis of the plate is in alighment with the edge of the door.The anchor plate protrudes thrrough the vertical hole in the middle of the retainer plate. A prior art padlock is atached at the end of the anchor plate once in place the door can not be opened.
