-11- ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process is described for removing dis- solved copper from an aqueous liquid containing copper in the form of a soluble complex with alkylenepolyamine polyacetic acids or salts thereof. The process comprises the steps of (a) adding dimethyl- and/or diethylthiocarbamate to said aqueous liquid in an essentially stoichiometric amount relative to the amount of dissolved copper in said aqueous liquid, and (b) separating the resulting insoluble copper-containing mass from the liquid effluent.
