A top assembly (24) selectively covers an open top motor vehicle. The open top motor vehicle has a front mounting edge (12) and a rear mounting edge (14). The top assembly (24) includes a fabric sheet (26) and retainers (32, 34) fixedly secured along front (28) and rear (30) edges of the fabric for sealingly engaging with the front and rear edges of the open top. A pair of side frame members (31, 33) pivotally engages opposite sides of the front and rear retainers (32, 34). The side frame members (31, 33) are movable between a locked condition and a folded condition. When the side frame members are locked, the front and rear retainers (32, 34) are spaced apart drawing out said fabric sheet (26) and sealingly engaging the front and rear edges (12, 14) of the vehicle top opening. When the side frame members (31, 33) are unlocked, the top assembly folds for removal from the vehicle and storage.
La présente invention concerne un ensemble de pavillon (24) couvrant sélectivement une automobile découverte. Cette automobile découverte comporte un bord de montage avant (12) et un bord de montage arrière (14). Cet ensemble de pavillon (24) est constitué d'un voile textile (26) et de dispositifs de retenue (32, 34) solidement maintenus le long des bords avant (28) et arrière (30) du textile de façon à établir un contact hermétique avec les bords avant et arrière de l'ouverture de pavillon. Deux éléments latéraux du bâti (31, 33) s'enclenchent par pivotement dans les côtés opposés des dispositifs de retenue avant et arrière (32, 34). Ces éléments latéraux du bâti (31, 33) sont mobiles entre une position verrouillée et une position repliée. Lorsque les éléments latéraux du bâti sont verrouillés, les dispositifs de retenue avant et arrière (32, 34) sont écartés l'un de l'autre, étirant le voile textile (26) et établissant un contact hermétique avec les bords avant et arrière (12, 14) de l'ouverture de pavillon. Lorsque les éléments latéraux du bâti (31, 33) sont déverrouillés, l'ensemble de pavillon se replie pour se démonter du véhicule et se ranger.
