ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for removing LPS pyrogens from aqueous solutions is provided herein. The method comprises passing such aqueous solution through a filter comprising a macroporous hydrophobic cloth which has been coated with an oligopeptide, e.g., a hydrophobic polypeptide, or a polymyxin, preferably polymyxin B, thereby to have such oligopeptide, e.g., a hydrophobic polypeptide, or a polymyxin, preferably polymyxin B, stably bound thereto, whereby LPS pyrogens are adhered to the filter.
