ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Snow is removed from a satellite dish by attaching a vibrator device to the dish and applying electric power to the device. A spare pre-existing coaxial cable is used to deliver electric power to the device, and an AC line voltage isreduced to a level which the cable is capable of transmitting. The device uses aferromagnetic core as a hammer. A U-shaped spring of ferromagnetic material has one arm which serves as an anvil to be struck by the hammer and another arm to which the hammer is fixed and which restores the hammer to a rest position under spring bias. A coil is mounted to the hammer and is energized with the reduced AC voltage to cause the hammer to repeatedly strike the anvil. The anvil has threaded shafts that extend in the direction in which the hammer strikes the anvil. The shafts secure the anvil against the dish in a manner thatmaximizes reaction of striking forces into the dish. - 12-
