A method of creating image data, the image data suitable for use with an autostereoscopic display, the method comprising taking a plurality of samples of a 3D scene, each sample taken for the combination of a pixel on a 2D display and an aperture of the autostereoscopic display, wherein the centre line of projection for all samples for a particular aperture pass through substantially the same point of the aperture.
