ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A removable cap attached to a writing instrument in an insertion manner for preventing ink from evaporating from the writing instrument, comprises: a groove formed in an outer peripheral surface of the cap to substantially axially extend over the full axial length of the outer peripheral surface of the cap, whereby the groove of the cap enables an infant to inhale and exhale air even when the infant's bronchi are clogged with the cap.
