On réalise un revêtement métallique amagnétique épais (18) constituant un manchon sur la surface du tube (12), dans une zone (14), par électrolyse. Le revêtement présente une épaisseur supérieure à 0,5 mm et de préfé- rence voisine d'1 mm et peut assurer à lui seul la tenue mécanique du tube en service. De préférence, le revête- ment épais amagnétique est en un alliage nickel-bore à moins de 5 % en poids de bore.
