A replaceable cloth element for use in a laundering implement comprises an essentially rectangular sheet-like fabric body having a first peripheral edge for contacting the surface of a vehicle, a second edge opposite the first edge and a mounting hole formed through said body near the second edge for receiving the drive pin. In one embodiment, the element has two spaced apart holes formed in the body. In one preferred version, the element is made of non-woven, synthetic fabric and is subdivided into compound radial fingers extending to the first peripheral edge by a first set of relatively widely spaced slits and a second set of closely spaced slits intermediate the first slits and substantially shorter in length.
