A B S T R A C T Re-polymerization of polymers, to up-grade their physical properties, is effected by intensively admixing the polymer with an additive which is an organo-derivative of titanium or zirconium, corresponding to the general formula: Image where M is titanium or zirconium, R, R1 and R2 are each a monovalent alkyl, alkanyl, alkynyl, aralkyl, aryl or alkaryl group having up to 20 carbon atoms or a halogen or ether substituted derivative thereof, and, in addition, R2 may also be an oxy derivative or an ether subsituted oxy derivative of said groups; A, B, and C are each a monovalent aroxy, thioaroxy, diester phosphate, diester pyrophosphate, oxyalkylamino, sulfonyl or carboxyl containing up to 30 carbon atoms; and a + b + c = 3. The repolymerized polymers have improved physical properties and higher heat distortion temperatures, experience less thermal degradation and show greater solvolysis resistance than the polymers prior to the repolymerization.
