Articles, such as components of an injection-molded multi-component product, are repositioned within a space, such as the space between mold parts, that is accessible for repositioning only during a series of periods, such as open-mold periods, that are separated by intervals of less accessibility for repositioning, such as closed-mold intervals by (a) moving a first article, such as a first component of a first multi-component product, from a first position within the space to outside of the space during a first such period; and (b) moving a second identical article, such as a first component of a secondmulti-component product, from outside of the space to a second position within the space during the first such period. Both the movement of the first article and the movement of the second article are by means of a common vehicle, such as a common robot arm. In another aspect, an article is repositioned by (a) moving the article from a first position within the space to outside of the space during a first such period; and (b) during a second such period after an interval of less accessibility that is subsequent to the first period, moving the article from outside of the space to a second position within the space. For injection molding with a stack mold, an article is repositioned from a first mold-cavity in a first space in a first portion of the stack mold to a second mold-cavity position in a second space in a second portion of the stack mold by (a) moving the article from the first position to outside of the first and second spaces during a period when the first space is accessible and the second space is inaccessible; and (b) moving the article from outside of the spaces to the second position when the second space is accessible and the first space is inaccessible. 48
Cette invention concerne le repositionnement d'objets, en l'occurrence les éléments d'un article composé moulé par injection, dans un espace, soit l'espace entre les parties du moule, qui est accessible par périodes seulement, notamment lorsque le moule est ouvert, séparées par des intervalles de moindre accessibilité, notamment lorsque le moule est fermé. Le procédé de cette invention consiste à (a) déplacer un premier objet, par exemple le premier élément d'un premier article composé, d'une première position dans ledit espace à l'extérieur dudit espace pendant une première période d'accessibilité, puis à (b) déplacer un deuxième objet identique au premier, par exemple le premier élément d'un deuxième article composé, d'une première position à l'extérieur dudit espace à une deuxième position dans cet espace pendant la même première période d'accessibilité. Le déplacement du premier et du deuxième objets s'effectue par un seul et même organe, par exemple un bras manipulateur. Une autre opération possible de repositionnement consiste à (a) déplacer un objet d'une première position dans un espace à une deuxième position à l'extérieur dudit espace pendant une première période d'accessibilité, puis (b) à déplacer le même objet de l'extérieur dudit espace à une deuxième position dans cet espace pendant une deuxième période d'accessibilité suivant la première après un intervalle de moindre accessibilité. Dans le moulage en grappe, un objet peut être déplacé d'un premier espace dans la cavité d'un premier moule d'une première partie du système à un deuxième espace dans la cavité d'un deuxième moule d'une deuxième partie du système, en (a) déplaçant l'objet de la première position à l'extérieur desdits premier et deuxième espaces pendant une période où le premier espace est accessible et le deuxième espace est inaccessible, puis en (b) déplaçant l'objet de l'extérieur desdits espaces à la deuxième position pendant une période où le deuxième espace est accessible et le premier espace est inaccessible.
