The present invention provides a method of growing smooth muscle cells in a host with the purpose of maintaining natural cellular function to reproduce lost or damaged smooth muscle tissue. In this method, smooth muscle cells are freed from isolated smooth muscle tissue, then cultured and injected into the host in combination with an extracellular matrix. The invention also provides a method of enriching the amount of smooth muscle cells in a mixture by differential adhesion.

La présente invention concerne une méthode pour assurer la croissance de cellules de muscles lisses chez un hôte, dans le but de maintenir le fonctionnement cellulaire naturel et de régénérer du tissu d'un muscle lisse, perdu ou abîmé. Dans cette méthode, des cellules de muscle lisse sont libérées du tissu isolé de ce muscle lisse, cultivées et injectées à l'hôte en combinaison avec une matrice extracellulaire. L'invention concerne également une méthode d'enrichissement d'un mélange en cellules de muscle lisse, par une adhésion différentiée.
