A reproduction apparatus, a reproduction method, and signal that allow a desired content to be easily and quickly selected from those recorded on a recording medium. The reproduction apparatus includes a reproduction section that reproduces first content data, an input section that accepts an operation to search for content information data associated with the first content data, and a control section that searches the content information data when the first content is being reproduced and that controls the reproduction section to reproduce at least a part of second content data corresponding to the content information data.
