Exemplary embodiments include a method for teleporting an avatar from a first virtual world residing on a first computer system to a second virtual world residing on a second computer system, the method including determining whether dimensions of the second virtual world are compatible with dimensions of the first virtual world, in response to a determination that the dimensions of the second virtual world are not compatible with the dimensions of the first virtual world, performing an interoperability rescaling between the first virtual world and the second virtual world and transferring the avatar from the first virtual world to the second virtual world.
