RESCUE CUTTER TOOL ABSTRACT A lightweight, fluid-powered, portable rescue cutter tool for applying a high magnitude cutting force is disclosed comprising a body hav- ing a longitudinal axis including a fluid cylinder and a forward end structure,and a pair of cutting blades pivotally connected to the forward end struc- ture. Fluid-actuated force means are movable along the longitudinal axis of the body and linking means, asymmetrically secured to the cutting blades and interconnecting the fluid actuated force means with the cutting blades, are utilized for pivoting the cutting blades between non-cutting open and closed cutting positions. Handles are provided for mani- pulating and supporting the rescue cutter tool and control means are provided adjacent one of the handles for controlling the fluid-actuated force means to pivot the cutting blades between non-cut- ting and cutting positions as desired.
