12 The present invention is a rescue sled comprising a toboggan having first and second side walls; a rear wall; a base; said base including an upturned front first portion, a second portion and an upwardly inclined rear third portion; runners extending longitudinally from front to rear under portions of the first, second and third portions of the base; a braking means across the runners under said second portion; a handle mounted on said first and second side walls sides, said handle being inclined upwardly and forwardly of the toboggan to facilitate pulling or pushing of the toboggan; and a bag having attachment means to affix the bag over the base within the side walls, the rear wall and the upturned portion of the base.
