ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention discloses a new closure device for encapsulating spliced cables therein which are succeptible to atmospheric conditions. The device comprises a main body filled with a curable, alcohol or alkoxy terminated silicone resin which is curable upon exposure to moisture and a cap for closing the container. The device allows the installer to quickly and easily install the device in the desired location without mixing or measuring the components of the prior art resins. Also, the device is not succeptible to atmospheric conditions as were the prior art devices and in fact, the resin will reseal itself to protect the splice of the spliced cables in the event that the body becomes distorted or damaged.
