A resilient floor tile is described that comprises a base; a protective film layer; and a decorative layer disposed between the base and the protective film layer; wherein the resilient floor tile has a top surface and a convex edge along a perimeter of the top surface. In another embodiment, the decorative pattern extends over at least a portion of a contoured edge of the tile such that the decorative pattern is substantially undistorted. In another embodiment, the resilient floor tile comprises an imprint having a predetermined pattern in a top surface of the floor tile that allows the floor tile to be separated along the imprint into smaller floor tiles. The process for making a resilient floor tile according to the various embodiments is described.

L'invention concerne un carreau de sol souple qui comprend : une base, une couche de film de protection, et une couche décorative disposée entre la base et la couche de film de protection ; le carreau de sol souple présentant une surface supérieure et un bord convexe le long d'un périmètre de la surface supérieure. Dans un mode de réalisation, le motif décoratif s'étend sur au moins une partie d'un bord profilé du carreau de façon à être sensiblement exempt de distorsions. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, une marque présentant un motif prédéterminé est située dans une surface supérieure du carreau souple qui permet de séparer ce dernier le long de l'empreinte en carreaux plus petits. Le procédé de fabrication dudit carreau de sol souple est décrit dans plusieurs modes de réalisation.
