ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A resin article comprising a shaped body of a synthetic resin having a surface, and a coated resin layer covering the surface of the shaped body, said coated resin layer being made of an amino group- containing polymer and/or a polymer containing (meth) acrylate of (iso)cyanuric acid as a constituent unit and having a top surface, wherein the top surface of the coated resin layer is chemically converted to have an anti-static property by chemical reaction with a quaternary compound-forming reagent. Alternatively, a resin article having stable anti-static properties may comprise a shaped body of a synthetic resin covered with an anti-static coating layer made of a reaction product of at least one of an amino group-containing alkoxy silane, an amino group-containing alkoxy titanium compund, or an oligomer thereof, with a quaternary compound-forming reagent.
