ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A resin composition for peel-off coatings is disclosed comprising a polyvinyl acetal resin and an organopolysiloxane, the organopolysiloxane having polyoxyalkylene groups as its side groups, in a ratio of 100 parts by weight of polyvinyl acetal resin to 1 to 30 parts by weight of the organopolysiloxane. The resin composition is suitable for application to shaped articles and is quick drying. The coating films thus produced are tough and exhibit an excellent peelability even after lapse of a long term or after heating.
