7566-781D ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a dental filling material comprising (A) from about 50 to about 95% by weight of finely devided inorganic filler material which comprises at least 50% by weight of metal nitride having a Moh's hardness of at least 7 (such as VN, BN, AlN, Si3N4, etc.) and the balance if any being an inorganic dental filler different from the metal nitride and having a Moh's hardness of at least 5, and (B) from about 50 to 5% by weight of monomer, such as Bisphenol A diglycidyl methacrylate, triethyleneglycol, dimethacrylate, bismethacryloxyethory bisphenylpropane, neopentylglycol dimethacrylate, trimethylolpropane triacrylate etc. The filling material, once used, has a high mechanical strength.
