When mining, the rock formation is generally stable. There are occasions where the rock is fragmented and requires stabilization. When this becomes necessary the rock is secured with anchor bolts. The rock anchor is one method for stabilization. This invention will increase the retaining capacity of the conventional rock anchor in the mining, tunneling, etc. It will also improve the security of personnel in the work place. This invention may be used for any application that would require maximum anchoring in rock formations.
