RESINOUS COPOLYMERIC SILOXANES CONTAINING ALKENYLDIMETHYLSILOXANES ABSTRACT A xylene-soluble, resinous copolymer containing SiO2 units, trimethylsiloxane units, and alkenyldimethyl- siloxane units such as 5 hexenyldimethylsiloxane units is disclosed. The resinous copolymer is useful as a component in silicone coatings, especially silicone release coatings, to provide intermediate range release forces against. adhesives. The higher alkenyl functionality provides faster reaction with other coating components and reduced odor during cure of UV curable mercaptosilicone compositions.
