ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A resistance roll-welding machine for welding work- pieces moving in a predetermined feed direction, comprising two superimposed electrode rolls to which there is delivered welding current by means of a device for transmitting current from a stationary part to a rotating part. One of the electrode rolls is mounted at a pivotably movable overhang arm or cantilever. The overhang arm, at which there is pivotably mounted the one electrode roll, extends essentially transversely with respect to the feed direction of the workpieces and is pivotable about a pivot shaft extending in spaced relationship from said one electrode roll and transversely to the axis of rotation thereof. The overhang arm or cantilever comprises a housing mounted in the machine frame to be pivotable about said pivot shaft and a shaft member which is rotatably mounted in the housing. The shaft member has a free end which carries the one electrode roll. The housing forms the stationary part and the shaft the rotating part of the device for the current transmission.
