The plant is obtainable by crossing a cucumber plant with a plant grown from seeds of cucumber EX5001 representative seeds of which were deposited under NCIMB accession number 41670 and selecting in the F2 progeny of the cross that is ob-tained after selfing the F1 for plants showing an improved shelf life.
