ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A resistive element for use in electrical and electronic circuits features a composition having atleast one precious metal-containing pyrochlore of the formula: A2 [32-xAx] 07-y wherein A is selected from a group consisting of Pb, Bi and mixtures thereof; B is selected from a group consist- ing of: Ru, Ir and mixtures thereof; wherein x is greater than zero, and is approximately equal to or less than 1.0; and wherein y is equal to or greater than zero, and is approximately equal to or less than one.
