A heat dissipating resistor grid has a frame including side members carrying blocks or panels of insulating material having cavities in their inner surfaces. The resistor element is a zigzag strip formed from individual flat lengths of resistance material, each length having offset ends in opposite directions, adjoining offset ends forming a sandwich with a conductive support strip which extends beyond the offset end and terminates in projections which mate with the cavities in the insulating material. The support strip may extend into the space between the adjoining strips of resistance material forming a heat sink therein. The projecting ends of the support strip may be flat lengths, may be cut into tabs, may be formed into hollow cylinders in one piece with the support strip, may be solid cylindrical studs affixed to the support strip, or solid rod bent into U-shape with the base inside the offset ends. The insulating blocks may fit into cutouts in the frame and locked there by lateral movement.
Grille à résistance à dissipation de chaleur dotée d'un cadre et de longerons portant des blocs ou des panneaux de matériau isolant dotés de cavités dans leurs surfaces intérieures. L'élément résistant est une bande en zigzag formée de longueurs plates individuelles de matériau résistant, chaque longueur ayant des extrémités décalées dans les directions opposées, les extrémités décalées voisines formant un sandwich comportant une bande-support conductrice qui s'étend au-delà de l'extrémité décalée et se termine par des projections qui s'imbriquent dans les cavités du matériau isolant. La bande-support peut s'étendre dans l'espace entre les bandes voisines de matériau isolant et former, à cet endroit, un puits de chaleur. Les extrémités en saillie de la bande-support peuvent être des longueurs plates, être coupées en forme de languettes, prendre la forme de cylindres creux solidaires de la bande-support, être des axes cylindriques pleins fixés à la bande-support, ou des tiges pleines pliées en U dont la base est à l'intérieur des extrémités décalées. Les blocs de matériau isolant peuvent être insérés dans des entailles dans le cadre et y être bloqués par déplacement latéral.
