An audio transducer is dis- closed that has a piezoelectric driv- ing element (20) and a diaphragm (14) configured as a flat, curvilinear plane. A lightweight, rigid bridge element (18) connects the piezo- electric device to the diaphragm (14). Several bridge configurations are shown that emphasize or reduce various characteristics such as fre- quency response and vertical dis- pension. A resonance damper (70) is provided comprising a resilient membrane having a plurality of re- silient flaps (78). The damper is re- siliently coupled to the piezoelectric device by arranging adjacent flaps to press against opposite sides of the piezoelectric device.

L'invention porte sur un transducteur audio muni d'un élément piézo-électrique d'entraînement (20) et d'une membrane (14) plane curviligne aplatie. Un élément de pontage rigide (18) relie le dispositif piézo-électrique à la membrane (14). Il existe différentes configurations de l'élément de pontage permettant d'accentuer ou diminuer certaines caractéristiques telles que la réponse en fréquence ou la dispersion verticale. Un amortisseur de résonance (70) muni d'une membrane élastique présentant plusieurs nervures élastiques (78) est couplé élastiquement à l'élément piézo-électrique par la pression exercée par lesdites nervures sur des faces opposées.
